Contemporary man has lost his sense of play and extravagance in his choice of clothing. Throughout history there have been periods where men dressed as flamboyantly as women. ‘Recycled Romanticism’ seeks to reinstate the influence of romanticism into the contemporary suit, taking inspiration from the 16th/17th century.  Contemporary neutral colours remain echoing current trends but the form, shape and detail explore new dimensions and challenge our perceptions of the suit.

This garment has been created from totally recycled goods purchased from charity shops or discarded used items.  Amongst these items are a suit, a hat brim, curtains, tutu, petticoat, handbag lining, buttons, stuffing from old pillows and beads to name a few.
